This painting belongs to my “Like a Gardener” series, a body of small-scale work designed to bring a statement and story to the more intimate spaces of your home.
The fuchsia and lavender colors of this painting, against the backdrop of sandy orange, reminded me of a vibrant desert flower, which is how the work received its name. The symbolism of these resilient yet delicate blooms resonates with me as a reminder that there can be beauty in the midst of hardships.
