This painting is inspired by my upbringing in a creative household and the love ingrained in my heart for all things hand-crafted.

My mother’s sewing table was a constant fixture in my home growing up, and because of this, I feel a deep connection to fabrics and work involving textiles.

When I finished this piece, my lines—drawn into the wet paint—reminded me of a tangle of threads scattered around my mom’s work space. I even asked her to help me sew this canvas, making her not only a part of the inspiration but also the artwork itself.
