This piece is like the younger sister to Be Still, and Know, and I love the way it carries on the shared storyline of my need to release control.

What I personally enjoy the most about this painting is the bright little pop of cadmium red-orange on the left side of the canvas and the way such a tiny mark feels so powerful in a sea of other things happening within the composition. My eye always circles back and grounds itself on that one small mark.

The Other Side of Silence feels like the type of painting with new lessons to teach every time I come back to it.
